Meet Karina Kleissl

Founder, consultant, enthusiast

Karina founded KLARO with the objective of applying her learnings from the for-profit universe on the social impact world, driven by her frustration of rising global inequality.

Topics of migration are close to her heart as she has always been a migrant in some shape or form. Born in Brazil to Austrian heritage, she lived in Brazil for 10 years, in the USA for 10 years, studied and worked in the Netherlands, Spain, and Singapore and now calls Barcelona "home”.

Aside from her work at KLARO she co-founded EGALA, a social enterprise connecting migrants in Barcelona to the job market. Previously, she worked as a consultant at Boston Consulting Group and at BTG Pactual Asset Management. She holds an MBA from IESE Business School and is fluent in German, Portuguese, Spanish and English and speaks basic French and Turkish.
